Some links on EnumByte are affiliate links. If you buy a course, lab, or tool through one, EnumByte may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same.

That money helps keep the site running and the research going. It does not decide what gets written or recommended.

How you can tell

  • Every recommendation box carries a short note beside its button (“EnumByte earns a commission if you buy”) that links to this page, so the relationship is stated where you see the link, not only here.
  • Inline affiliate links are followed by a small affiliate marker.
  • Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored" so search engines know they are commercial.

Affiliate link: if you buy through it, EnumByte earns a commission at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same as going to the seller directly. The commission does not decide what gets recommended: the rules below apply to every recommendation, paid or not.

The rules we follow

  1. We say what we actually did. “Completed it”, “reviewed the syllabus and free material”, or “have not taken it” — we never imply experience we don’t have.
  2. A recommendation has to fit the article. If a link doesn’t answer a question you have at that point, it isn’t there.
  3. We say who it is not for. Every recommendation includes who should skip it.
  4. We name a free option wherever one exists.
  5. We rank by fit, never by commission.
  6. We date prices and claims and re-check them regularly.
  7. No dark patterns. No pop-ups, countdown timers, fake scarcity, or links injected automatically.
  8. Quick technical posts stay clean. Short command-focused articles carry no promotions unless a link is genuinely the answer.
